SULSA themes represent the key major areas of life sciences research being conducted across Scotland, and act to highlight key areas of expertise and potential for collaboration.

Each member university nominates a Scientific Advisor for each relevant theme; a Theme Leader (one of the Advisors) represents the theme at executive committee meetings. Scientific Advisors, in conjunction with SULSA, drive the strategic direction of SULSA’s activities relating to that theme, along with an exciting programme of events.
