Start-up Business Showcase - University of Edinburgh
This lunchtime seminar on Tuesday 27 April 2010, organised by Nexxus and SULSA, will let you hear from the leaders of two award-winning Edinburgh life sciences businesses about their start-up experience.
The aim is to let you learn from their real-world experience of the opportunities and challenges of technology commercialisation, and to let you consider if you could follow their lead.
The underlying technology being developed by Ingenza and BigDNA stems from research carried out in local institutions. They will introduce you to their businesses, and their motivation for following a commercial route to develop their technology. You will hear how they did it, and their views on what’s good about starting a life sciences business - and also some lessons to learn from.
As with all Nexxus events, you will have ample opportunity to network and make connections that could help you now and in future.
