SULSA Facility Showcase
21st January 2010, 10am-2pm
Wellcome Trust Building , University of Dundee
All are welcomed to attend this first showcase of research facilities supported by the Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance (SULSA).
From 10am-2pm more than 20 research facilities from across Scotland will be exhibiting their technology platforms and capabilities, with facility managers on hand to answer questions.
The facilities include advanced biological and biomedical imaging platforms, small-molecule high-throughput screening and unique compound libraries, metabolomics, next generation sequencing, structural proteomics, and expertise in large dataset analysis.
In addition, the facility managers and SULSA technologists based in Dundee will give short presentations about their services:
10.30 am Dr Emma King - SULSA OMX microscope: A revolution in resolution
11.00 am Professor Geoff Barton - The Data Analysis Group at Dundee
11.30 am Dr Emma Shanks - Compound Screening Facility
These presentations will take place in the Wellcome Trust Building seminar room.
Complementary lunch will be available from 12 noon.
Tours of the OMX and Compound Screening facilities will also be available to interested parties. These must be pre-booked by sending an email to j.m.moore@sulsa.ac.uk.
We very much hope you will be able to come along to find out what SULSA has to offer to the Scottish Life Sciences community and look forward to seeing you there.
