The Community section of the website aims to highlighting how strategic partnering, support, and communication enhances research excellence and contribute to growth of the life sceinces sector in Scotland. SULSA aims to connect researchers in Scotland, through a number of different actions, which catalyse new collaborations, funding and impacts for life sciences research..

As a research pool funded primarily by the Scottish Funding Council, with matched funding from its member universities, SULSA's community is comprised of the life sciences researchers of the Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Strathclyde. SULSA works in partnership with our sister research pools including SUPA, ScotChem, MASTS, ETP, SINAPSE and others. We also liaise with the Academia-Industry partnering body Interface, and the business oriented representatives of the Scottish Government such as Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International, and trade bodies such as the Scottich Lifesciences Association (SLA). We also provide close links to Scottish Government and the Scottish Funding Council.

SULSA has also been expanding beyond Scotland's borders, and playing a role in the internationalisation of Scottish Life Sciences Research. taking part in delegations to places around the world with life sciences strengths such as Hong Kong and India to help promote Scotland as a partner in research.

If you are visiting a colleague in a Scottish University and have a few hours to spare, why not see if there is a local research seminar you can benefit from.
