SINAPSE event "Image analysis in life science" - 31 August 2012
31 August 2012 - Lecture Theatre Three, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee
Image analysis is a key component in most areas of research in Life Sciences. This seminar will present an opportunity for cross‐fertilization of techniques ‐ BOTH WITHIN LIFE SCIENCES AND BETWEEN LIFE SCIENCES AND OTHER FIELDS INVOLVING IMAGING.
There will be presentations from image analysts working within Scottish pooling groups and those working in industry. This will be followed by a workshop or workshops to explore cross‐fertilization.
There will be 10 minute presentations from individuals within Scottish academic pools outlining the problems that they are addressing, the image analysis techniques that they employ and the effectiveness/limitations of these techniques.

10:30 ‐ 12:30 SESSION 1: Academic presentations
12:30‐1:20 LUNCH
1:20‐2:00 SESSION 2 Industry presentations.
2:00‐3:00 SESSION 3

3:00‐3:15 Summary and conclusions
There will be no charge, but attendance will be limited to 110 so please do not register and then not take part. Some speakers have been selected, but if you would like a 10 minute slot please outline your topic.
